⁡ Kimono is not something to be consumed.
It is something to be lived with. ⁡ At KYOism, we work with kimono across its entire life —

⁡ 𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑲𝒀𝑶𝒊𝒔𝒎 KYOism was born from a lineage that has cared for kimono since 1897.
For generations, our family has believed that a kimono is not merely worn — it is brought to life through craft, care, and intention. ⁡ Rooted in Kyoto, we have long practiced the art of Sikkai — restoring, refining, and sustaining kimono so they may continue their journey across time.
This philosophy extends beyond garments. was not in things, but in myself. Since then, I have chosen to invest

⁡ How I Learned to Feel the Seasons ⁡ My father, born on Setsubun,
received a small wooden masu marked “Setsubun Festival”
on his very first birthday, 75 years ago. ⁡ In my family, seasons were never events to explain,
but something to welcome, taste, and quietly prepare for. Through simple rituals —
a demon-shaped dish, a shared meal at the table —
 my sense of the seasons was shaped, almost without noticing. Nothing extraordinary,just a family who cared for the passing of time.

象徴と写実が静かに交わる一輪の蓮。 清らかさと秩序、

this time through a custom senbei created for KYOism. From personal memories

hand-painted with timeless motifs—
pine trees entwined with auspicious chrysanthemums,
symbols of longevity and quiet celebration. Worn for Hatsugama,

The kumade (rake) is a traditional Japanese charm awarded for wishing "business prosperity" and "good fortune and happiness." Its shape carries the meaning derived from the original use of a rake, which is to "gather good luck." This year, it is from Taga Taisha Shrine in Shiga. ⁡ ＼京都からの年賀状／ 父が30年以上、変わらず手描きで 描き続けている年賀状。
今年添えられていた言葉は
「牡丹一日紅（ぼたん いちにち べに）」 ⁡ 牡丹の花は、
たとえ一日で色褪せるとしても、
その一瞬を全力で咲ききる美しさを持つ——
そんな意味をもつ言葉だそうです。 ⁡ 離れて暮らしていても、
紙の質感や筆の運びから伝わる温度に、
家族の時間と想いが、静かに重なります。 ⁡ A New Year’s card arrived from Kyoto. For over 30 years, my father has continued to draw these cards by hand.
